19-year-old jailed after sexually abusing two teenage girls in Sunny Isles Beach: police

A 19-year-old is in custody after being accused of smoking with two teenage girls, then luring them to a Sunny Isles Beach home, where he put a gun to their heads and raped them, according to police.

Adam Hyman appeared in bail court Thursday after Sunny Isles Beach police arrested him the day before. He was denied bail and is scheduled to return to court Friday morning for a preliminary hearing.

Hyman, who lives in Miami Beach, is a known marijuana and vape dealer. According to his arrest report, one of the victims had previously purchased drugs from him.

In June, police say, Hyman picked up the victims in his car and drove them around Aventura, including the top floor of the Aventura Mall parking garage, where they smoked and vaped. He then took them to a house in Sunny Isles Beach, which they later identified as the place where Hyman often got his drug supply. He told the girls it was a friend’s house.

When Hyman brought the victims inside, they saw firearms, including shotguns and pistols, the arrest report said.

Hyman dragged a victim into a room, pointed a laser-equipped gun at her head and said, “Can you believe how easily I can kill you right now?” He then pushed her onto the bed and sexually assaulted her. She was too shocked and scared to resist, according to the arrest report.

After the first attack, the victim tried to warn the second girl to leave, but police say Hyman quickly pulled her into the same room. He attacked her and told her to “stop being a**** and get going” when she tried to resist, the arrest report said.

He then pointed a gun at her head and said, “Wouldn’t it be crazy if I killed you right now?” Both victims were bleeding and in pain, police said.

When the victims began talking to each other about their abuse, investigators say Hyman yelled at them, “You better tell me what you said, I’m not playing games, I swear to God, I’m going to kill you!”

Hyman later drove one of the girls back to her home, but police added that he told the first victim he attacked that he “wasn’t done with her yet.” He then drove the teenage girl to a Publix parking lot in Aventura, where he sexually assaulted her again, the arrest report said. During the alleged attack, Hyman recorded a video that was later used as evidence in his arrest.

Before dropping her off at home, she told police that Hyman said he felt sorry for her friend’s heavy bleeding.

Hyman is charged with assault with a firearm or deadly weapon, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, use of a child in a sexual act, kidnapping and two counts of lewd and lascivious battery.
