Three killed in Rolette County crash

ROLETTE COUNTY, N.D. (Valley News Live) – Three people were killed in a crash this week in Rolette County.

This is according to a Facebook post on the Turtle Mountain Community Schools website.

Authorities say three former students were involved in the tragic accident.

North Dakota State Highway Patrol responded to victims of a crash that occurred Tuesday on the reservation.

Traffic police cannot provide further details because the accident occurred in a nature reserve.

Valley News Live reached out to the Bureau of Indian Affairs for more details.

The TMCS post said:

It is with deep sadness that I write to you this morning. We recently learned of a devastating tragedy that has deeply affected our community. Three of our former TMCS students were involved in a fatal car accident that resulted in their untimely deaths.

At times like these, it is difficult to find the right words to express the depth of our grief and the impact of such a loss. Our hearts go out to the families and friends of the victims, and we share their sadness at this incredibly difficult time.

We understand that news like this can be deeply distressing and can affect each of us in different ways. Remember that support is available to everyone. Our counselling services are open to anyone who needs to talk or seek support. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you need help or someone to confide in.

As a community, it is important that we come together and support each other. If there are ways we are supporting their families, we will keep you informed and involved.

Let us remember those we have lost and continue to show strength and compassion to those around us.

Kind regards,

Shane Martin, MD, CSCS Lecturer

Director of TMCS
