Grenfell community united in pursuit of justice

Samia Badani, who organised a social screening of Sir Martin’s investigative speech at the Maxilla Social Club, said it was a “first move” towards “accountability and justice”.

“(The inquest) gave us the truth, but it didn’t give us justice. It gave our community, Grenfell United, those fighting for justice, the means to hold those responsible to account,” she said.

Francis Dean, who lost close friend Zainab Deen and her two-year-old son Jerimiah in the fire, said his goal would be to seek justice for them.

“Someone has to be responsible. Even if it’s everyone, they have to be responsible for it,” he added.
