Tragedy in Chandrapur: Teen commits suicide after alleged sexual abuse

A tragedy unfolded in Maharashtra’s Chandrapur district when police arrested three persons in connection with the suicide of a 17-year-old girl who alleged sexual abuse.

The teenager had spent a night with a 19-year-old man at a hostel in Ballarpur town. She told her family members about her experiences and accused the man of assault.

The young woman then hanged herself at home. Authorities subsequently arrested the owner and manager of the lodge for allowing a minor onto their property.
