Clouds will persist and the chance of rain will increase

WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) – As high pressure moves in from the north, the First Alert forecast predicts a winning weather pattern with low to mid 80s for daytime highs and mostly 60s for overnight lows through next week. Precipitation chances should increase Saturday as a low pressure system forms along an old front; otherwise, it will maintain a low profile most days.

Amazingly, there were no tropical storms in the Atlantic basin for another day in September, but the National Hurricane Center continues to identify several potential development zones from the southern Gulf of Mexico east of the U.S. East Coast to the African islands. Fortunately, none of these areas of concern currently pose any definable threat to the Carolinas. Remember, wect.com/hurricane is comprehensive and can help you and your family survive hurricane season if and when it reactivates.
