OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – Summer weather briefly returned Wednesday with highs in the 80s and low 90s Fahrenheit… It will be slower at night due to winds out of the south-southeast.

An atmospheric front will approach overnight, and on Thursday morning the sky will be cloudy, with possible light rain showers until 7 am.

The front is likely to pass through the Metro before noon, bringing a change in wind direction and a chance for scattered showers and one or two light thunderstorms through 3 p.m.

Much colder behind the front! Thursday will be almost seasonal, in the low to mid 80s… but highs will drop into the 70s Friday into Saturday! Saturday will be a very cold start with a low of 45 degrees for Omaha. Record to beat is 43, this will be close!

Even with a cool start, we’ll have some nice afternoons this weekend. Plan on warming up to 75 in Lincoln before the Husker game.
