Elkhorn North School students fired after maintenance worker injured in geothermal well

In a statement sent to students’ families, the Elkhorn School District said: “Due to a medical emergency involving a geothermal well maintenance worker at ENHS, power was turned off to the school and students were placed in the standard ‘Hold’ response protocol.

“Given this, all students will be dismissed immediately. Students who need to be picked up will be monitored by school staff in the building and may be picked up as soon as they are available.”

The accident occurred on the training pitch.
