Kananaskis Country Bear Warning at Sparrowhawk Ponds

Authorities have issued a bear warning on a trail in Kananaskis County.

Alberta Parks issued a warning for the Sparrowhawk Tarns area on Sunday, saying a grizzly bear attacked someone in an attempt to attack them.

Alberta Parks officials say that while the warning is specific to that particular area, bears can be spotted anywhere in Kananaskis at any time.

A bear warning applies to the Sparrowhawk Day Use Area and Sparrowhawk Creek Trail.
