The city says the power outage throughout Ayden was caused by an accident

AYDEN, N.C. (WITN) – An eastern city reported that a crash involving a vehicle and a utility pole caused a town-wide power outage.

The city of Ayden said on Facebook that areas that will be affected include Old Snow Hill Road, Pleasant Plain Road, Hanrahan Road, Mac Allen Road and Jackson Town Road.

City authorities said they were working to remove the effects of the accident and restore power.
