Henrico woman ‘loved by all’ killed in Chesterfield shooting, arrested

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. — Chesterfield Police have released new information about a fatal shooting that occurred in the 3700 block of Passage Way Drive in Chester.

Seth J. Branch, 20, has been arrested and charged in connection with the fatal shooting of 22-year-old Allison J. Tignor.

“At approximately 9:15 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 29, police responded to a report of a shooting. Upon arrival, officers found (Tignora) suffering from a gunshot wound. (She) was transported to the hospital where she succumbed to her injuries on Sept. 3,” a Chesterfield police spokesman wrote. “In the early morning hours of Aug. 30, Seth J. Branch, 20, was arrested and charged with Aggravated Injury and Use of a Firearm in the Commission of a Felony in connection with the shooting. (He) is currently being held without bail at the Riverside Regional Jail. Additional charges against him are pending.”

Police said Branch’s residential address was the 3700 block of Passage Way Drive.

Police said Branch and Tignor were in a relationship before the shooting.

Tignor, who graduated from Freeman High School and trained as a nurse, lived in western Henrico County.

“Allison was a student, a nanny, an aunt, and an amazing sister. Everyone loved her,” sister Cameron Gurrieri told CBS 6.

Allison’s family has set up a GoFundMe fundraiser to help pay for her funeral.

“I am seeking support to help with funeral costs and any additional expenses that may arise,” Gurrieri wrote. “Any contribution you can make would be deeply appreciated as we navigate this profound loss and honor her memory. Thank you for your kindness and support during this difficult time.”
