Brief warm-up in midweek, cooling soon to follow

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (21Alive) – It was another cool and comfortable day for our area. There was plenty of sunshine and I don’t think I saw a single cloud in the sky 🙂 Temperatures will rise briefly over the next few days, then cool off for the weekend.

Expect summer-like conditions Wednesday and Thursday with highs in the mid-80s and a bit of humidity outside. It will be dry and mostly sunny both days. If your pool is still open, take advantage of it as it will get much cooler towards the end of the workweek.

A cold front will move in later Friday, bringing a few scattered showers and thunderstorms. Rainfall totals are less than a half-inch, so there will be some rain, but not enough to really reduce the precipitation deficit. Temperatures will rise into the mid-70s to end the work week, with some cooler air sticking around for the weekend, with highs only climbing into the 60s.

Tonight: Mostly clear; Low 48; Wind E 5-10

Wednesday: Mostly sunny, warm; High 84; Wind E/SE 5-10
