1 killed, 1 injured in Arlington Heights crash

One person was killed and another injured in a crash on Rand Road in Arlington Heights.

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, Ill. (WLS) — Authorities said one person died in a wrong-way car crash Monday evening.

Arlington Heights police said the crash happened on Rand Road between Euclid Avenue and Schoenbeck Road.

The Mt. Prospect Fire Department responded to the crash and confirmed that one person died in the wrong-way crash. Fire officials also confirmed that another person was taken to the hospital in unknown condition.

Rand Road is closed at the scene of the crash as police investigate. Further details were not immediately available.
