Woman killed in Claiborne County car wreck

CLAIBORNE COUNTY, Miss. (WLBT) – A woman was killed Monday night in a wreck in Claiborne County.

According to Claiborne County Sheriff Edward Goods, the victim was driving along Midway Road when another driver ran a stop sign and crashed into her.

The incident occurred around 9:30 pm

The woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

Goods said the name of the victim would not be released until the next of kin was notified.
