Weather alert for strong thunderstorms in Oregon Lower Treasure Valley and Malheur County Monday evening

The National Weather Service issued a weather alert at 6:02 pm on Monday for strong thunderstorms until 6:45 pm for Oregon Lower Treasure Valley and Malheur County.

Residents can look for wind tastes of up to 50 mph.

“At 6:02 pm, Doppler radar tracked strong thunderstorms along a line extending from near Monumental Rock to near Vale to near French Corner. Movement was north at 40 mph,” says the weather service. “Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Areas of blowing dust reducing visibilities.”
