Florida gas stations to have new poster after disappearance

Investigators continue to search for a Lake County child who disappeared 18 years ago.

Trenton Duckett was reported missing on August 27, 2006, and has been missing since.

The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children and Gasoline TV have prepared a new leaflet aimed at raising awareness about the missing child.

The two organizations worked together to hand out leaflets at gas stations in Florida in September.

Police ask anyone with information to contact the Leesburg Police Department at 352-787-2121.

In January, the Florida Department of Law Enforcement brought attention to Duckett’s disappearance and the importance of the AMBER Alert system during AMBER Alert Awareness Day.

“We never give up on our efforts to bring our missing children home,” said FDLE Commissioner Mark Glass. “Our media partners and the public play a critical role in helping us find these children by sharing these flyers and providing information to law enforcement. I ask that everyone opt in to receive wireless emergency alerts on their cell phone and sign up at http://www.missingchildrenalert.com/ to receive AMBER Alerts via text message or email.”
