Russian bomb attack on Kharkiv injures at least 7 people

On September 2, Russian forces attacked Kharkiv using guided aerial bombs, injuring at least seven people, local authorities said.

A residential area in the city’s Kyiv district was attacked, Mayor Ihor Terekhov said. According to Kharkiv region governor Oleh Synehubov, the territory of one of Kharkiv’s universities was hit in another attack.

Authorities reported that one of the attacks set fire to garages and damaged windows in nearby houses, a heating network and a sports facility.

According to Synehubov, six women and a 40-year-old man were injured.

Russia also dropped an aerial bomb on the village of Ruskaya Lozova in the Kharkov region, injuring at least one person, Synehubov said.

Kharkov was attacked by Russia for the third day in a row. On August 30, Russia attacked the city with UMPB D-30 ammunition, killing at least seven people, including a child, and wounding 97 others.

The next day, Russia launched a missile attack on the city, wounding at least 47 people, including medics and children.
